Caledon Ontario Attractions

Boasting a population of about 60 000 inhabitants in the town of Caledon Peel, Ontario. Find Caledon is home to a new urban center, but is mainly a rural character.

Caledon has become known as a retreat for the rich. Many of Toronto's wealthiest people have country homes in Caledon. This list includes Norman Jewison and the Eaton family. Caledon is not just an escape for the rich, but it has a wealth of attractions, whether it be a daily lifestyle:

1. Cheltenham Badlands: "Badlands" is covering a geological term for an area of soft rock devoid of vegetation and soil, shaped into a hilly landscape of gentle hills and valleys have. This type of education is not very prominent in Ontario, which makes this site very rare.

3. The Caledon Trailway: The Trailway followsthe path of an unused rail line that stretched at a time of Barrie Hamilton. In 1989, Caledon purchase 35 km from the railway line on a route. In 1995, the track's first officially became part of the Trans Canada Trail.

Caledon (East) Station Country Park has a Trans Canada Trail Pavilion, which is also the first of its kind. Here you can choose from commemorative plates, ponds and a developing country Arboretum. You can also go through Caledon's Walk ofFame!

It is no surprise that the three above-mentioned attractions include all the nature. That is the appeal of Caledon. It is a short trip to Toronto, but it offers a totally different landscape. That is the reason why Torontonians seem to flock to the Caledon countryside. It is Canada's leading earth friendly city, and that the funds are keeping people on a green Caledon retreat sharply.
